Black lung benefits are the focus of meetings the second Monday of each month in the Mullens Opportunity Center, or former Mullens Grade School building, from 5 until 6 p.m. Specialists are available for questions and to assist those who want to apply for benefits. Everyone is welcome.
Free Tire Tuesday is scheduled the first Tuesday of each month. The next Free Tire Tuesday is Aug. 6 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the airport. Wyoming County residents can get rid of up to 10 tires at no cost with a valid West Virginia ID. The tires must be off the rims, and only car and light truck tires will be accepted. Free Tire Tuesday is sponsored by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Rehabilitation Environmental Action Plan (REAP) and the Wyoming County Commission.

Twin Falls Resort State Park's Glow Walk is scheduled July 26. Participants should gather at the golf course parking lot at 7:30 p.m. and bring their own glow sticks as supplies are limited. The casual two-mile walk will traverse the cart path on the golf course. Everyone is welcome.
