Twin Falls Resort State Park will host a Farm-to-Table dinner Aug. 16 at 6 p.m. at the 1800s Pioneer Farm, weather permitting. Cost is $50 per person.

The Farm-to-Table dinners were held at several state parks last year.

The meals are a great way to sample local food as well as explore the park.

The Twin Falls menu will include iron-skillet fried chicken, homemade meatloaf, Pioneer Farm garden fresh roasted corn, Pioneer Farm-grown potatoes, deviled eggs made with fresh local eggs, garden-ripe tomatoes and cucumbers, Mike’s green beans, sautéed summer squash and zucchini parmesan, fresh coleslaw, stone-ground buttermilk cornbread with West Virginia preserves and honey, blackberry cobbler and apple pie, sweet tea, Moonshiner’s Daughter fresh-squeezed lemonade.West Virginia Mountaineer roasted coffee, Berkley Springs Twin Falls Bottled Water, and watermelon.

Acoustic music, performed by The Kessinger Brothers, will be provided on the porch. Participants can meet the Pioneer Farm family and view the garden.

Horseshoes will be available after dinner. Advance reservations are required by phoning 304-294-4005.
